Ladies Sodality

Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality:  The Ladies of Sodality are a group of women who show devotion to, and great love for Our Lady, in communion as Sisters in Christ. Through our motto “To Jesus ~ Through Mary,” we promote a love of Our Lord and His Mother in example, prayer, fellowship and good works. Membership is open to all women from our Christ the King Roman Catholic Church Parishes, age 15 and up. Although we meet at Holy Trinity Parish, we are all one Church under the patronage of “Christ the King” and therefore our group is a great opportunity for all women from Holy Trinity, Good Shepherd (also has an active Sodality), Crucifixion and St. Bernadette Parish to come together in devotional support of Our Lady and in turn, support our Church community. Events include Monthly Meetings (September – June, 7:00 pm in the Holy Trinity Hall), Sodality Sundays (Year round, 8:30 a.m. Mass at Holy Trinity), Yearly May Procession (1st Tuesday of May, at Holy Trinity Hall processing to the statue of the Blessed Mother in Holy Trinity, while we sing songs of Mary, filling her cove with flowers and crowning her the Queen of the May), Parish Wide Communion Breakfast (1st Sunday in May, in the Holy Trinity Hall ~ open to all parishioners and featuring guest speakers), Rosary Recitation as a group – at the Funeral Home for each deceased Sodalist, Supportive and Prayerful Presence at deceased Sodalist’s Funeral (including flanking the isle, holding candles, as the funeral recesses), Annual Day Retreat for Women (Held each year on a Saturday near Our Lady’s Nativity, at the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City, for ALL women of our Parish Community), the Annual Living Rosary (1st Tuesday in October, sponsored by Sodality to provide a parish opportunity to celebrate the Month of the Holy Rosary, led for the past five decades by Mr. Joe Pfeiffer of the Knights of Columbus – Archbishop Francis P. Keough Council #5263 – Odenton), and the occasional fund raiser. Please consider adding this devotion to your parish and prayerful enrichment. Keep up on all Sodality News through the bulletin and on our Facebook Page  or contact our Sodality Prefect, Jennifer Gross.
