All people who have graduated from high school and are ages 18-35 are encouraged and invited join our group as we gather in friendship and fellowship to encounter Jesus in our daily lives!  Please contact Nancy Drew at youth4ctk@ctkgb.org for more information.

On Saturday, September 22, we will host a Town Hall meeting at Holy Trinity Hall facilitated by Ellen Dumer, a certified pastoral counselor. Unlike our previous Listening Sessions, this Town Hall is designed to talk things through as we prepare to close and sell our current worship centers and build a new worship center to accommodate all our Christ the King community. Ellen studied Pastoral Counseling at Loyola University in Maryland where she earned a degree which combines spirituality with psychology, and has a pastoral counseling practice in Bel Air, MD. She is a life-long Catholic, whose husband is a deacon assigned to Saint Mary’s Church in Pylesville, MD. From my perspective Ellen has the natural ability to listen, sympathize, and help one move forward.

Part of our outreach for Vacation Bible School and Summer Madness will benefit the Blue Ribbons Project focusing on “Backpacks for Love.” These backpacks will be donated to children who are entering the foster care system. We are asking our parishioners for donations to include in the backpacks (we are focusing on 6 and 7-year-old boys and girls).

Requested donations include:

*Socks *Underwear *Body Wash *Children’s Shampoo*Lotion *Shirts *Pants *Pajamas *Tooth Brush and Toothpaste * Books *Comb *Nightlight *Games and/or Toys *Blanket or Quilt * Plush Animals

Donations can be dropped off at the parish center! Thank you in advance for your help and generosity!
